The membership of the AudioVisual club of Maine West has decreased greatly as a result of the split in the student body. Therefore there will be many opportunities for students interested in any phase of audiovisual work to join this active club.
The club serves the school by caring for and supplying the teachers with movie projectors, tape recorders, record players and other instructional aids which make classroom work more interesting. As well as serving the school, members benefit themselves by receiving audio‑visual training and public relations and by becoming eligible to work for the adult evening school for which they receive pay.

The club, sponsored by the former Aviation club sponsor of Maine, Mr. Verne Brownell, will meet in room B209 for one study period a day as well as a little time before and after school.
Highlight of the club's activities will be an interesting field trip in the spring, according to Mr. Brownell. He also emphasized, "Members are required to maintain a C average and be willing to assume responsibility. They need not be experts in audio‑visual work, but an interest in this type of work is important."
Anyone interested in joining the club is encouraged to apply to Mr. Brownell in room B209.
