The Newcomers party, an annual Maine event, has been extended this year to include all students. The party, free to all, will be held on Thursday, September 17, from 3:30 to 5:30 in the afternoon.

The program, climaxing Hello week, will feature acts from last year's V‑show with Joe Byers acting as master of ceremonies.

Under general chairman Barb Clark are publicity chairmen, Gretchen Rider and Nicki Rappaport; refreshments, Pat French, and entertainment, Linda Roessing.

Also working on the party are Sue Eagleson, in charge of programs, and Lynn Turner, tags.

The Newcomer party will be the first all‑school party of the year.
