The cheerleaders for Maine West will alternate quarters with those from Maine, according to cheerleading captain, Sue Eagleson.

Maine West's cheerleaders, who will wear Columbia blue and white uniforms with a gold and white "W" are Sue Eagleson, Bobby "Shorty" Heydecker, Neva Huxmann, Ann Kulik, Cary Mustradi and Nan Prochaska.

Frosh‑soph cheerleading clinic will be held from Wednesday, September 9, through Friday, September 11. The preliminary tryouts will be held the following Monday and the finals on Tuesday.

Cheerleading is under the sponsorship of Miss Corrine Clark.
