"All right, you guys, shape up!" This seems to be the favorite expression of Mr. Peter Arena, practice teacher under Mr. Al Carstens.
Mr. Arena is from Milwaukee, but is completing his major in physical education from Northwestern university by practicing here until March. N.U. is on the quarter schedule, and he will graduate in the third quarter of this year. As a Wildcat he played guard during his sophomore, junior, and, senior years, and was chosen for the All Big Ten third team last fall.
Mr. Arena assists Coach Olson during third and fourth periods with the junior leader class. After he graduates he would like to play professional football for Houston in the new Pro League.

Miss Peterson
Some students in the music department might have seen a new face in their classrooms during the past few weeks. This was Miss Ruth Peterson, a student teacher, who is at Maine West from Northern Illinois University.
Miss Peterson's home town is Lombard, Illinois. She enjoys watching and participating in the sports of basketball, baseball, swimming and listening to all forms of music except progressive jazz and rock and roll. Extra curricular activities include collecting stamps and participating in Sigma Alpha Iota, a women's professional fraternity, and Alpha Omicron Pi, a social fraternity.
