Address Highlights Assembly
"Brotherhood consists of two things: understanding and justice," remarked Tony Weitzel, famed newspaper columnist in a speech last Friday morning in the auditorium. The occasion was the annual Brotherhood assembly which traditionally brings Brotherhood week to a fitting close.

Mr. Weitzel spoke to two assemblies, first period for underclassmen and second period for upperclassmen. In his speech Mr.. Weitzel stressed the idea that brotherhood is understanding, not tolerance.

At this same assembly the winners of this year's Brotherhood awards were announced and given their certificates.
They consist of seniors Lynn Lewis, Linda Roessing, Liz Stephenson, Chuck Reid, Dave Stenmark, and Bill Spyrison; juniors Karen Barrett, Sandie Haarvig, Anne Kulik, Andy Adolfson, Nick Ladas, and Frank Schwartz; sophomores Judy Reid, Gretchen Rider, Barb White, Butch Bending, John Bernero, and Rick Warnicke; freshmen Lynn Hodges, Pat Ritter, Lois Wright, Tom Prochaska, John Schafer, and Don Spyrison.

The present society consists of 10 members, according to Trudy Johnson, president, but the new members will boost the total to 34. Other officers of the society this year are Ed Swanson, vice-president; Barb Clark, secretary; and George Verber, treasurer.
