Ten Finalists Survive Test

Sixty students participated in the Constitution contest sponsored by the American Legion on March 4. Of these 60 students, 11 were the preliminary finalists, Barry Collins, Rebecca Edman, Trudy McNeal, Alice Rasmussen, Janice Reid, and Kenneth Robinson, seniors; and Howard Arnson, Frank Goeke, Donald Plautz, Tony Richter, and Celeste Stachnik, juniors.

The second and most difficult part of the test will be given March 22 at 7:30 a.m. in A‑219. The finalists will be quizzed by five Legionnaires about the interpretation of the articles, sections, and clauses of the U. S. Constitution. Sample questions are on reserve in the library for reference.

The test is under the direction of the Social Science department headed by Mr. Eric Edstrom, Mr. Albert Koenig, Mr. Otto Kohler, head of the Social Science department, and Mrs. Berniece Schneider.
