Dr. Earl Wiltse, superintendent of schools in Maine Township, will be the guest speaker at the initiation program of the National Honor society. The program is scheduled for Friday evening, April 22. Speeches on leadership, scholarship, character, and service will be made by the club's five members. These are Nancy Thinnes, president; George House, vice president; Dottie Hansen, secretary; Bill Julitz, treasurer, and Doug Hales, all seniors. Nan will give the welcoming speech.
The program will be held in the auditorium for the parents and faculty. Miss Anne Lauterbach, sponsor of the society, will conduct a reception in the cafeteria.
A party in honor of the society's 84 new members, 9 juniors and 75 seniors, will be given after school, April 7.
Named to the society for 1960 are juniors Lynn Buffo, Ellen Cameron, James Edwards, Bill Graebner, Dave Hopkins, Tanya Hostettler, Janet Modesilt, Char Thompson, and Chuck Weber.
