College-bound Girls Invited To
Sorority Information Tea
Maine West senior girls who expect to enter colleges and universities next fall are invited to attend a "Sorority Information Tea" from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 24, in the West Park fieldhouse, Wolf Road and Greenview, Des Plaines. The tea, for college-bound senior girls and their mothers, will be given by members of the Northwest Suburban Panhellenic association, who represent the 31 sororities making up the National Panhellenic conference.

This Information Tea is an annual affair given by the Panhellenic group in this area to help the prospective college girl integrate into the social life of the college or university of her choice, enabling her to enter into the rushing season with confidence and with a knowledge of Panhellenic organization.
A panel of Panhellenic members, with Mrs. Burton Pearsall, nationally known sorority woman serving as moderator, will discuss such questions as, What is Panhellenic? Do you want to join a sorority? What should you look for in a sorority? How do you choose a sorority? How does a sorority choose you? What will the rushing be like? What is the approximate cost? There will be a question and answer period following the panel discussion.

Invitations have been mailed to all Maine West senior girls who have been reached by telephone and indicated an interest in such a discussion. If, by chance, some girls have not been contacted, the chairman of the Information Tea, Mrs. John Leer, urges them to call her at VA 7-2712 for details, and invites them on behalf of the Panhellenic organization to attend the April 24 affair with their mothers.
