This year's all‑school art contest, sponsored by the Art club, will be held May 3 through 10.

All students are eligible to enter the contest, whether or not they are enrolled in an art class. The type of work may be from any phase of art: paintings, drawings, sketches, prints, jewelry, and any kind of crafts project. All work must be done outside of class to give those students not having art classes an equal chance.

Paintings and drawings must be matted, and charcoal and chalk drawings should be sprayed with a fixative.

A jury of three persons other than school faculty will judge the entries. There will be cash awards given to the winners.

The Art club is in charge of the cash prizes and the handling of the show. Sponsors of the club are Miss Jacqueline Albach and Mr. Robert Urasky, both art teachers at Maine West.
