Any U. S. History student who' has received at least a B for his first semester and third quarter grade is eligible to take the history honors test at 3:20 on Tuesday, April 5, in room B‑202. Students with an A or B grade in summer school history are also eligible.

The top 35 scorers in the test will receive History Honors awards and will become members of the Maine West Historical society and Tri‑S.

The top seven of the 35 winners will be eligible to compete for the Best United States History Scholar award. The winner will be chosen on the basis of an essay test to be given on April 19 at 3:20 in room B‑218.

Initiation for Historical society will be held on May 5 in the Honor Study room.
