To night club or not to night club! That is the question.
The Junior Prom, now only three weeks away, is the most eagerly anticipated event of the junior year. So, being a very special night, it naturally presents a problem as to where to venture to after the final strains of "Good Night, Ladies" fades away.
Of course, there's always the old joke of going to a famous French restaurant, "Henry's", or the "prom special" at MacDonald's. But this is a night to really live, and by jiminy, that's what you're going to do! So off you and your date go to some night club. This is to be an exciting night to outdo all nights.
Doesn't it seem, however, as though the real meaning of the Prom has been left aside amid all this hustle and bustle? The dance itself has been forgotten. In other words, you can't see the dance for the "highspots".
One can attend a night club any time and probably much more reasonably than on Prom night when they are all waiting for the "suckers".
A Prom is something so looked forward to by so many students therefore, it seems a little ironical that Prom night now consists of only a whirl down on Rush street, or a picnic on the beach the next day.

The Junior Prom, to a junior girl, is a complete fairyland, something dreamy and delicious. It doesn't mean that the more spent, the longer hours stayed out, the bigger the night club attended, the better the time.
The Prom should be enjoyed for the Prom itself and not be made just a springboard for foolish extravagances and late hours.
Have fun!
ARE YOU HELPING WITH THE SOLUTION, OR CONTRIBUTING TO THE PROBLEM?
