Maine West's first summer school is offering over 25 courses and is designed to give more opportunities to the high school student. It will start June 13 and continue to August 5.
Students who would like to take extra courses that could not otherwise be taken during the regular school year, or those who must make up work failed should register.
Courses are open to any student at Maine West. A few courses are also open to eighth grade graduates. The five courses that will be taught at Maine East are United States History on Wheels, German in Germany, speech, drama, and German I and II.

Special courses that are given include, biology (a field course,) Clothing I, English review, English IV, freshman band, penmanship, reading development clinic, and driver's training.
June 13 to July 8 constitutes the first term, and July 11 to August 5 completes the second term. In most courses, one-half credit for four weeks of study, and one credit for eight weeks is given. The daily 'schedule will be: first period, 8:00‑9:25; second period, 9:30‑10:55; and third period, 11:00‑12:30.
Students may register in the Personnel office from May 2 to June 13. The tuition fee is $15 for one‑half credit, $30 for one credit, and $45 for one and one-half credits.
