During the first three innings there was little action. The little Warriors seemed, however, to get the needed spark in the bottom of the fourth inning, which continued throughout the game and gave them a 10‑0 victory.
Maine West 10, York 0
Maine's first run came in the first inning when Gustus, third baseman, walked and stole second, and then scored on Bending's single to center field. On the next play Bending crossed the plate on Shure's double to center.
In the top of the second inning Warnicke, the pitcher, singled to center and went to third on Seagren's drive to left. Both Warriors scored a few minutes later when Gustus singled to right field.
Warnicke went the whole game on the mound for the Warriors allowing only one hit while striking out three batters and giving up three walks.
