The Class of '60's last busy week of high school, under the direction of Senior Activities chairman Linda Roessing and class president Dave Stenmark, began Friday, June 3, with the senior prom, Au Revoir. From 9‑12 p.m. seniors danced to the music of Bobby Christian's band in a cafeteria transformed into "Paris in the Springtime" by a sparkling fountain, Parisian shrubbery, and a replica of the Eiffel Tower.
The Rev. Dr. William Earl Brehm of the First Congregational church gave the commencement sermon at Baccalaureate at 8 p.m. Sunday, June 5, in the Maine East fieldhouse. Seniors listened to his topic "Salt of the Earth" following the invocation by Rev. Father Frank J. Buck, Our Lady of Hope Catholic church, and Scripture reading by Rev, Father Arthur D. McKay, St. Martin's Episcopal church.
This morning at the Honors assembly in the auditorium members of the Class of '60 marched in to the strains of "Pomp and Circumstance." They listened and applauded as their classmates received the traditional departmental awards Good Will awards, and other senior honors.

Graduation night, Friday, June 10, will mark the completion of four years of classes, homework, and activities for the graduating class. Then Dave Stenmark, Senior class president, will give the welcoming address and introduce the valedictorian and salutatorian. Following their speeches, Mr. Ralph J. Frost, principal of Maine West, will present the class, and diplomas will be handed out by a member of the school board. Then, as the seniors recess, the final event of high school will be over, and members of the Class of '60 will go out to take their places in the world.
