Treasurer Versatile In School Activities

TJ is one of the favorite nicknames for this year's student council treasurer, Trudy Johnson. Trudy has served three years as class treasurer, and this summer she was a representative to the National Student Council workshop in Estes Park, Colorado.

Receiving a Brotherhood award her freshman year, Trudy was elected president of the society this year. She is a member of Pep club and is a gym leader. "I enjoy working with people in any kind of activity," states TJ.

Trudy's hobbies are reading and talking on the telephone. Concerning the latter, she says, "I think I do too much for my own good."

Christmas is Trudy's favorite time "because everyone is happy and in such a gay cheerful mood." She has quite unconventional tastes in food. They range from peanut butter on toast, to sweet rolls mixed with ice cream. No pet peeves for this senior, other than "those stop signs that seem to come out from nowhere."

As for the future, Trudy plans to attend Wesleyan Memorial hospital, in Chicago, for a B.S. in nursing. Then she plans on going to a college.

Trudy feels that the senior class should feel privileged to be the first graduating from Maine West, and that it is up to them to set traditions.

"These traditions," stated Trudy, "should be those which the students in the years to come will respect and want to live up to."
