FLASH!!! Here comes the quite casual vice‑president of student council, Tom Baker. You had better steer clear of him, though, if you indulge in any of his pet peeves which include people saying things they don't mean, believing everything they hear, and any type of "phony‑ness".
Tom greatly values true friends but he believes they are hard to find with so many trying to reach the top. Many are willing to step on others to achieve their goals. The most important thing to Tom is doing a job to perfection. This includes, by the way, one of his favorite pastimes‑rapping!
His hobbies include music in all forms with the exception of classical. The ever-popular sport of girl‑watching attracts him, too, as well as the idea of co‑educational phys.ed.
He is in his fourth year of council service, having been a member of the sportsmanship committee his freshman and junior years. In his second and third years at Maine, Tom was also on class council.

In his plans for the first eight years after graduation from Maine West is the aspiration of attending Northwestern university. Here he will major in medicine, having chosen the medical profession as his career.
If your vice‑president could change anything in the school that he wants, he would do two things. First on the list is a definite improvement in school spirit. He feels that this school is lacking considerably in this area, especially when one considers the size of Maine West. It is up to each student as an individual to do his part in the necessary change, according to Tom.
His other complaint is the way the new school has been divided into three wings labeled A, B, and C. Being not completely confident of his alphabet, this often proves to be confusing.
