Beloit Small But Famous

According to the poll taken in homerooms, the following colleges will be featured in future issues: Beloit college, Michigan State, University of Wisconsin, Northern Illinois, Illinois State Normal, Iowa State, Purdue University, Northwestern, University of Colorado, Wright Junior college, Ripon college, Miami university, Indiana university, and Illinois Wesleyan.

The first of the series is Beloit college, located in Beloit, Wisconsin. Beloit is an independent, liberal arts college. It is relatively small in size as the enrollment is limited to 1000 to 1100 students.

Beloit has the necessary educational and dormitory facilities, financial resources, and a faculty which enables it to stress quality in performance. Its library has one of the largest collections per student in the country, and its faculty has long been famous for its teaching and writing record.

Tuition at Beloit is $440 per semester; general fees, $35 a semester; and room and board about $375 a semester. The most for an entire year would be about $1700.

The social life at Beloit is supervised by the Assistant Dean of Students, and emphasis is placed upon social affairs in which all students may participate. At Beloit there are five national sororities and seven national fraternities.

For those students interested in scholarships, this college offers several forms of financial assistance to deserving and qualified students. If more information is desired, write: Dean of Admissions, Beloit College, Beloit, Wisconsin.
