'61 Smoke Signals," the junior class paper, is tentatively scheduled to be distributed on Monday, September 28, in all junior homerooms.

It will be free of charge to Maine West students. Plans are being made to exchange papers with the " '61 Blueprint," the Maine junior class paper. This will be done at a slight cost.

The staff is headed by Andy Adolfson, editor, and Anne Kulik, managing editor.

Other members include Kathy McLaughlin, Charlene Thompson, Becky Byers, Kathy Clayton, Marge Neitzke, Cookie Levine, Anne Gulik, Bruce Schillin, Barb Novak, Diana Buthman, Diana Lyon, Sharon Blume, Celeste Stacknik, Diane Costello, Connie Palasz, and Nancy Herrmann.

Any juniors wishing to submit stories are welcome to do so, according to Andy, who stated, "Please bring your stories to C‑201 or contact one of the staff members."
