"Through rain and hail, sleet and snow, onward the G.A.A. will go."

That just about fits the Howdy Hike undertaken last Wednesday, September 16. First it looked like rain, then it looked like more rain. Finally, the "hiking" part of the Howdy Hike was called off "due to the inclemency of the weather."

Nothing spoiled the "howdy" part, however. Instead of starting off in the A‑wing gym as planned, everybody gathered in B‑wing. Where did it finally end? You guessed it! In the C‑wing gym. None of this seemed to bother the G.A.A.ers.

After getting acquainted, all trooped outside and had a riotous time batting, kicking, and throwing balls. Some participated in other games of (?) skill. The main event of the affair was the food which didn't last too long. Games ended the evening.
