many short gains which resulted in first downs. Evanston's scores came on a 30-yard pass midway in the third quarter and a three yard plunge in the closing minutes of the game. Another Wildkit touchdown was called back because of a clipping penalty.
Another touchdown was narrowly averted in the final quarter by a valiant goal line stand by Maine. Maine's John Bernero recovered a fumble by Evanston on Maine's own 10‑yard line. After a five‑yard gain and a 13‑yard setback, the Demons punted out of danger.
Back Ray Hazdra appears to be one of the bright spots on the frosh‑soph horizon. His passing and running talents should prove valuable to the Imps.
