The newly formed Maine West dance band under the supervision of Jared Spears, faculty director, held its first rehearsal Friday, October 2.

Members of the band include Al Harazin, Everett Jones, alto saxes; Chuck Hawes, Jim Scott, tenor saxes; Jim Meyer, baritone sax; Randy Baselt, Connie Straub, Jack Whetstone, Dave Wedeking, trumpets; Walt Newton, Ken Olson, Ken Pearson, trombones.

Norm Boyer, Valarie Olson, Dick Williams, French horns; Gerry Stanowieki, piano; Chuck Ermelling, bass; and Rich Klose, drums. Dave Wedeking has been also chosen student director.

According to Mr. Kuite, head of the music department, "The dance band serves as an educational training ground for students who want to play in combos."
