Brotherhood Promoted

Maine West's Brotherhood society is undertaking the job of supplying student guides for all new students enrolling.

Heading the Brotherhood society is Trudy Johnson as president. Ed Swanson is vice‑president; Barb Clark, secretary; and George Verber, treasurer.

Ten members make up the group. They are chosen annually from each class in a free election.

Promotion of brotherhood is another purpose of this society. An outstanding event of the year is Brotherhood week which takes place in the spring. Tags are passed among the students and at the end of the week a Brotherhood assembly is sponsored for students. It is at this assembly results of the election of the following year's Brotherhood members are announced.

In her definition of brotherhood, Trudy expressed, "It is a quality of friendliness, helping others, and putting someone else before one's self."
