The annual Teachers' Institute day will be held on Friday, October 16. Clifford H. Sweat, the Institute program chairman, has stated that the program will begin at 9 a.m. in the auditorium at Maine with a talk by Mr. Ian Farlane on the topic "The Next Crisis," and "What Membership in Professional Organizations Can Do for the Teacher" will also be discussed.

A later topic will be presented by Victor Schmidt, assistant Cook County superintendent of schools, and representatives from the Washington D. C. and Springfield offices of the National Education association and Illinois Education association.
