If you hear such words as "sundah", "quadeh", and "warlie", it is not a sure sign that someone is practicing a foreign language. More likely, Liz Stephenson is mearly attempting, hindered by her St. Louis accent, to say "sundae", "quarter", or "worry".
Since her freshman year, Liz has belonged to Pep club, the White Collar Girls and baton club. This year, her first on student council, she is assembly co‑chairman. In Liz's third year, she was head majorette of Cadet band and now heads Concert band's majorette squad.
The long list of things that appeal to this brunette (???) senior includes slumber parties, garlic bread, cream cheese and nut sandwiches, and talking on the telephone. Under eating spots that rate tops she chooses the Rustic Manor and Romanos. Counting perdiddles and baton twirling are hobbies of hers as well as a certain basketball center. When discussing fond memories, she is certain to refer to last spring's school tour to Washington, D. C., and New York City, and also the state baseball tournament in Peoria. Of course most of her story can be easily discovered by "reading" the charm bracelet found dangling from her wrist.

Should you care to see her temper flare, try calling her Betty Cole sometime. High on her chart of pet peeves are parakeets (one to he exact) that say "George" while she is trying to do her homework. Last, but far from least, are certain little brothers who have a knack for being in the wrong place at the right time, with what is definitely a wrong remark.
The Maine West campus is more than Liz ever hoped for; she "loves everything about it."
However, she is "not yet hip over the split in the senior class" and "wishes the class of '60 could still be under the same roof."
Either Parsons college in Fairfield, Iowa, or Alma college in Alma, Michigan, will be her after high school choice. Liz plans to take a liberal arts course, although she is not yet certain of her specific major other than "getting an MRS."
