State Tests Next Week

The Illinois Statewide Tests will be given at Maine West on October 26‑28. This test is for all juniors, there is no fee, and it will be given in the cafeteria during all periods except those that are occupied for lunch. You will receive a notice in homeroom in regards as to what time you are scheduled.

The tests used in this program are of three types ‑  academic aptitude, reading comprehension, and writing skills.

The Academic Aptitude relates to the ability to acquire skills and knowledge commonly found in the schools curriculum.

The Reading Comprehension is the ability to comprehend what you read and answer the questions as close to correct as possible. This test is supplied with reading material from a majority of high school subjects.

The Measure of Writing Ability test is to find out just what part or parts of grammar you are weak on. It can also show the strong points; those which you are sure of yourself.
