When selecting a career one should consider at least two things. First, will I like this kind of work and second, does this work offer many possibilities of employment?
For example, the teaching field is one that offers many opportunities. What are teachers? Basically they are salesmen and their customers are pupils. Their stock consists of knowledge, attitude, skills, and ideals. Besides this some of the most respected people of the community are its teachers.
There will be a shortage of teachers for many years to come. Therefore, many are needed‑as teachers from nursery school to college enter in specialized fields ranging from night school to classes for the deaf and blind.
Money? Salaries for beginners have increased in the past 15 years with continuing steady increases. Although 12 month jobs are now offered by some schools, many teachers have long vacation periods which can be used for travel, study, other employment, or relaxation.

A teacher's life is never dull with coaching plays, sponsoring club activities, and the like. Remember, too, that a teacher deals with students‑never a dull subject.
