Four members of the Westerner staff will present the paper at the annual convention of the Illinois State High School Press association on November 13 and 14 at the University of Illinois campus in Urbana.

Representing the Westerner will be: Nan Thinnes, managing editor; Tim Hunt, business manager; Eileen Corcoran, news editor; and Jim Duval, sports editor.

Representing the Legend will be editor in chief Carol Petersen and staff members Sue Amy, Sue Frasier, and Barbara Lehr.

The convocation will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday with a general convention. The afternoon will be spent in divisional meetings. The purpose of the convention is to give members of high school publications instruction and inspiration.

This will be the thirty‑fifth convention of the ISHSPA.
