Trailblazers Last Senior PTC Party

"Trailblazers ‑ Flight 60" is the name of the Senior PTC party to be held Friday, January 8, at 8 p.m. The theme of the party is space and air travel. This unusual theme has been chosen because at the time construction was started on Maine West, the first Sputnik was launched. As Maine West is known as the "school in orbit" the space t h e m e seemed appropriate. "Trailblazers ‑ Flight 60" symbolizes the setting of tradition by the senior class.

The main stairs will lead to the cafeteria known as the Airdrum club. Once the guests enter the club they will be in orbit. Several girls dressed as stewardesses will greet guests.

Decorations for the party will be displays of rockets and jets provided by various airlines. A back‑drop of a jet will be the background for the band.

Entertainment, under the direction of Nan Prochaska, will consist of a floor show of various acts by students and one by the parents. Refreshments will be served.

Dave Stenmark, class of '60 president, declared, "This is going to be our last and greatest class party. I hope every senior and his parents comes and contributes to its success."
