Let us take time again to hear,
The greatest story ever told.
Come closer and I will tell you, my dear,
The story that will never grow old.
Three shepherds stood there on a hill
Looking in the heavens afar.
The night was silent, so dark and still.
It was then that they saw the star.
The star shone over Bethlehem
Where a child in a manger lay.
The Wise Men, three, gathered round, faces solemn,
Jesus Christ our Lord was born that day.
That star still shines for all the world;
Its message is for you and for me.
It tells of the birth of our blessed Lord,
It's there for all the world to see.
