Santa Claus He's Coming!

Pat Bolden

Although no one has ever really met the character who makes his home at the North pole, along with eight reindeer, I cannot help but believe that Santa Claus does exist.

When I think of parents who scrimp and save in order to make their child's Christmas a merry one, I know it goes deeper than just a red "25" written on the calendar under the month December.

A very wise person, his name now lost in antiquity, once said, "It is better to give than to receive" this must be some of Santa Claus's doings, how else can we account for that warm glow when we see our little

brother's and sister's faces as they stare wide-eyed at the splendor of gifts under the tall green tree? How else can we account for the wonderful memories we have of Christmases past? How else can we explain the thrill we experience when we find "the perfect gift" for the special somebody? During Christmas time, all humanity undergoes an immense metamorphosis, everyone is happy, kinder and more benevolent than they have been all year.

There must be a Santa Claus behind it all!

That is why I am a believer, along with Virginia, and all the people who love Christmas, and I give the credit to Santa Claus.
