DRAGON'S ROAR, the newspaper published at Narimasu High school, Japan, is printed in a cramped office in Tokyo under a rumbling elevated track. The school is very American consisting of 500 students who are military dependents. Their printers, however, are Japanese and know little English. In spite of this difficulty, the paper is always on time.

Staff members report that the student body enjoys many of the things the high schools in the U.S. do, for example: Sadie Hawkin's day, football, Homecoming, and dances. On a clear day, the students get to see Mr. Jufi's peak or they can buy steaming, hot bowls of 0‑Soba, or noodle soup, from street vendors.

A staff member on the Dragon's Roar claims, "School gets to be much the same old grind no matter where it is, but we manage to add a few extras to our Japan school days."

Gridiron Gals???? At Manchester High school, Richmond, Va., the varsity cheerleaders recently played the junior varsity cheerleaders in an exhibition football game to raise money for their school's athletic fund.

The two teams, the Beatniks and the Femme Fighters, played regular tackle football adorned with shoulder pads and jerseys.

An "Ugly Man" was elected at Palatine Township High school. To promote CARE week, the Student Council there held an Ugly Man contest. A ballot was given to each person contributing 5 cents. On this ballot they wrote who they thought was the ugliest man in the school. However, this goal was seldom attained and the winner was often "not bad" looking at all!

During the Christmas vacation, three seniors from Willowbrook High school piloted their own plane to Georgia. The trip took 31/2 hours, and all had a fine time except for one boy who had forgotten to fasten his safety belt before they flew into a rough air current. The boys are planning a trip to Florida during spring vacation.
