Students interested in the ACT, American College Tests, will have only through today to sign up so that they may take them on Saturday, February 27. Costs for the tests is $3.
"This test," explained Miss Roberta Iliff, dean of junior/senior girls, "is designed to provide information to colleges, to high schools, and to the student."
ACT is three hours long. The first one was given at this school on Saturday, November 7. The tests are used as an

admissions, scholarship, guidance, and placement exam. They have been used recently as the Illinois State Scholarship Qualifying tests.
Many colleges in Illinois are requiring tests similar to ACT for entrance examinations. In Illinois many colleges require the ACT test, which was developed by the University of Iowa.
According to Miss Iliff, a student should check the college of his choice to see if such an examination is required.
