Plans For Spring Tour,
History Trip Announced

Registrations are now being accepted at Maine West for two important calendar events‑the annual Washington, D. C. tour and the United States History on Wheels course which will be offered in this year's summer school session.

During the Spring vacation, 50 students from each school will take part in the historical trip to the nation's capital. Departing from the B&O Railroad station in Chicago on Wednesday, April 13, the group will arrive in Washington the next morning. Return to Des Plaines will be in time to attend Easter services on Sunday morning. The travelers will stay at the Hamilton hotel. A dinner and floorshow at Casino Royal, Washington's finest cabaret‑restaurant, will be one of the evening's highlights.

The all‑inclusive cost, $103.50, covers everything from transportation to tips. A deposit of $10 will hold a reservation if paid now in the business office. Maine West chaperons will be Mr, and Mrs. Richard Frey, mathematics instructor, and Mrs. Helen Stuart, business education teacher.

Course on "Wheels"

From June 13 to July 22 students may combine travel and summer school U. S. History by taking the History on Wheels course taught by Mr. Otto Kohler, chairman of the social science department. Students receive a full credit in United States history for participating.

All incoming juniors are eligible for this class according to Mr. Kohler. The cost will be $225. Students from both schools will be included. The class will be taught at Maine.

Among other places to be visited are Gettysburg, Washington D. C., Jamestown, New York city, Mount Vernon, and Harvard university in Boston. A complete itinerary of the tour will be available April 15. A $50 deposit may be made by mail or in the bookroom at either Maine or Maine West any time. The enrollment will be limited.
