Wrestlers Beat Last Six Foes

Hinsdale stands in the way of the varsity matmen's try for seven wins in a row. The meet will be held tomorrow (Saturday) in the West gym at 2 p.m. This will be a double header with the sophomores also in action.

Arlington was victim number six two weeks ago when the superior strength of Coach Carlini's squad came out with a 24‑20 win. Bob Jonas started in his usual flame of glory while next is succession, Tim Byram and Tom Carlin trod over their opposition in good form. Gil Caudill suffered the first loss, but Bill Henning was able to come back with an outstanding showing. With the score not too widely separated as the heavyweights came out, West was able to clinch the victory with Wild Bill Spyrison's fast win.

North Chicago, boasting one of the powerful teams in the area, was scalped 28‑22 as the Warriors won on desire and a little luck last Saturday. Jonas got his seventh pin of the season while Carlin put his opponent's shoulder out of commision in the third period to gain a five‑point win. Hansen won on a forfeit and Henning, wrestling under a handicap, pulled another win. Chuck Novak lost a close match in the third period. Paul Cornog and Shark Geisler both tied in their weights while Mike Kunkle bested his opponent in the middleweight. North Chicago took the 165 and 180 events, but Spyrison showed his superiority in the heavyweight division.

The grapplers have their eyes on the District meet which will be on February 10‑11. They should make a good showing in this meet.
