Brotherhood Week was February 17‑21. During that week the Brotherhood Society at Maine West elected 24 new members and held a taffy apple sale.
This year the Brotherhood assemblies were held Monday, February 17. The singing group, "Up With People," performed, and the newly elected members were announced. Each year three girls and three boys from each class are elected.
The freshmen members are Jenny Jobst, Kathy Jordon, Jo Dee Rowells, Frank Mitchell, Ken Steinken, and Gary Williams.
New sophomore members are Sue Black, Roxy Doremus, Debbie Wojak, Dave Arnswald, Rick Rossi, and Greg Wilkins.
The Junior Class elected Betsy Huxman, Jan Olenicki, Jo Pabich, Willie Anderson, Chuck Sherman, and Joe Szabo.

The new Senior Class members are Vera Binotti, Donna DeFranco, Nancy lower, Bob Aulert, Steve Baenziger, and Hans Wahl.
This year Brotherhood Society is planning a clothing drive for an orphanage in South Viet Nam. Debbie Lusk '70, secretary‑treasurer, added, "We'd like to make this a community clothing drive for the orphanage, but we're not sure if this is possible. We will have a clothing drive, though."
The Society is also planning an interracial, interdenominational workshop which will be held either at the end of this year or early next year.
In a Brotherhood meeting February 20, new officers for next year were elected. The new officers will be announced at a tea the Brotherhood Society is planning for the near future.
This year's officers are Jim Webster '69 president; Vicki Coash '70, vice‑president; and Debbie Lusk, secretary‑treasurer. Mr. James Gary is the sponsor of the Brotherhood Society.
