'Prelude' To Climax Seniors'
Final Year

This year's Senior Prom will be held in the Grand Ballroom of Henrici's Restaurant on Mannheim Road in Rosemont. The dance will be from 8:30 until 11:30 p.m. on Friday, June 6. Entertainment will be provided by Ross Anderson and his Orchestra. There is not cost for attending this dance.

Prom chairman Lise Pahnke stated, "I think that because of the publicity and the enthusiasm of the kids, the Prom will have a really great turnout. It should be lots of fun for those who attend. I'd like to encourage all the seniors to go to the Prom. It should be a wonderful climax to their years at Maine West.''

The committees and their chairmen in charge of the Prom arrangements are Nancy Lilja, bids and invitations; Donna De Franco, publicity; Nancy Heller,

refreshments; and Don Kron, entertainment. Because there will be no actual decorations, the Prom does not have a theme. Instead, it is merely entitled "Prelude."

Approximately 450 seniors are expected to attend the Prom. The sponsors of the Senior Class, Mrs. June Muckle and Mr. David Grobe, will also be present. Parents of the class officers and committee chairmen will attend as honored guests.

Last year the Senior Prom was held at Henrici's Restaurant on May 31. It was followed by a dinner at the Elks Club and a trip on the Dream Train. The trip will not be taken this year because of a lack of sponsors.
