The national elections are over, but the local elections are just beginning. Students of a spring special government class are campaigning for candidates for township representatives, aldermen, and mayor.

The students will attend coffees and personal appearances given by and for their candidates. The students will also relate their experiences in class. They will analyze the political tactics, literature of the campaign, and local newspaper coverage and tactics.

The students actively campaigning in the class are Betty Andresen, Dawn Dalin, Debby Hansen, Leslie Hill, Debbi Larson, Vicky Meyers, Carol Mielke, Suzan Miller, Tom Navratil, Carol Smith, Donna Smith, Linda Vehrs, Nancy Veith, and Kathie Wolf.

There are three students working for the Democrats and three students working for the Republicans in the township elections.

There are three students working for specific aldermen and five students working for the mayoral candidates.
