GTO, Girl Timers and Officials, is a new club being organized at Maine West by Marilyn Coombs '69 and Darlene Kamradt '69.

Members of GTO would be girls who are interested in sports and are capable of running home meets in various sports.

The purpose of GTO is to run more efficient and organized home meets. Only girls who are dependable and know what to do would be accepted as members.

Marilyn Coombs stated, "Although plans are still very in­definite, the club will probably be open to sophomore, junior, and senior girls. Interested girls would fill out an application in the spring for the following year. After being accepted, the girls would attend clinics in the sports they want to work with."

Darlene Kamradt added, "We are hoping to work in cross country, swimming, gymnastics, wrestling, and track. The girls would announce the meets, time the events, and keep score. We would also like to have uniforms for the girls."

Sponsors of GTO would be the coaches of the sports involved.
