"Happiness Is a New Dress" will be the theme for the Home Economics fashion show to be held on Thursday night, May 15.
Admission is free to this show planned by the students in Clothing I, II, and III classes and by the Home Economics I, II, III, and IV classes. Foods classes will make cookies and punch for the evening.
The theme centers around a "Peanuts" motif, which will be represented in the invitations, programs, and stage settings. All will be designed and made by the students.
A variety of styles will be shown, from Prom formals to summer sports clothes. Children's clothes will be shown; and there may even be a selection of fall clothes, since some girls had clothing last semester.

Girls will model their own creations and a commentator will describe them. Members of M-Club will escort the models.
The girls will soon get started on organizing their committees, with the help of their instructors, who are Mrs. Trudi Gillette, Mrs. Katherine Hofmann, and Mrs. Phyllis Toomire.
Mrs. Lucille Stiles, department chairman, says, "The committees have not been chosen yet, but we try to involve the students in planning and organizing the show for it is their show. This is more than just a school experience; it is a benefit for the students."
Mrs. Stiles also said, "The 'Peanuts' theme is a modern one that the girls and the guests, we hope, will enjoy."
