On May 8, 1969, the annual Mother‑Daughter Dessert was held in the cafeteria. Sponsored by Girls' Club, it was the last social affair for senior girls as a class. All senior homeroom teachers and their spouses were the invited guests at the dessert.

Entertainment for the event included a dramatic reading by Diane Clarke '69, a piano duet by Diane Glanke '69 and

Ellen Gundersen '69, and a dance solo by Valerie Neal '71. Other musical entertainment was provided by Carolyn Hummel '69, and the Ted Wagner Quintet.

Committee chairmen for the dessert were Carol Mielke '69, decorations; Beth Miller '69, entertainment; Sallie Lino '72, publicity; Kay Lowden '71, refreshments; and Karla Felde '72, tickets and programs.
