Senior, Activities Conclude June 9

Seniors will conclude their final days at Maine West in the next few weeks; but before they depart, there will be final examinations, marching practice, the Prom, and senior activity week.

This Monday, May 26, the traditional Bermuda Day will grant the '69 students privileges to wear shorts or similar apparel excluding "grubbies."

The following day will be a unique experience for all seniors who will wear hats for the "Crazy Hat Day." Then on Wednesday they will follow through with a "Clash Day."

Before the Senior Talent Assembly on Thursday during third period, the first two periods will be free for them to attend a breakfast at the Tollway Oasis.

Then during the following days, June 2 through June 6, the graduating class will take final exams during the regular class period. The schedule will be English, math, and business education on June 2; home economics, language, social science, and science finals on June 3; and industrial education, music, and art finals on June 4.

Attendance is mandatory for all seniors on Friday, June 6, when students will proceed to the auditorium immediately after homeroom for marching practice. At 11 am., after practice, all cap and gowns will be picked up. All financial obligations must be completed before the cap and gowns can be obtained.

Baccalaureate will be on Sunday, June 8, at 3 p.m. at the Maine East field house. Several ministers will then speak.

The members of the graduating class are required to attend the Senior Honors Assembly on Monday, June 9, from 9 am. to 11 am. Awards for DAR, SAR, the departments, valedictorian, salutatorian, and good will will be presented at this time.

Also that night the senior superlatives will be announced at the traditional dessert at 7:30‑9:30 p.m.
