Tri-S Sponsors Final
Internation Simulation

"Courier!" "We will bury you!" "Sim. Central, quick!" "We shall overcome!" "Arlene, you can't hit people with a peace flag!" "Carnivorous wants war!" "How many U.C's can we get?" "Kill fascist pigs!" "Courier!"

These were the sounds in C‑wing on May 10. That was the day of the last Internation Simulation of this year.

Eleven countries participated in the Tri‑S sponsored project. A country is made up of six people: a head of state, two advisors, a foreign diplomat, an opposition leader, and a representative to the 1.0. (International Organization, like the U.N.)

Over 80 students took part in the simulation. Students learned how frustrating a position of power can be. They also had to learn to communicate effectively through others.

The first simulation period started about 9 am. No war was allowed during the first period. At the beginning of the second period smaller countries began to be occupied, which finally led to an anti‑war demonstration at the beginning of the third period. The simulation was terminated in that period during a huge war. The simulation ended because of a lack of validators.
