'69 'ers To Initiate Graduation at West

Maine West's tenth annual Commencement Exercises will be held at 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 12. Each senior is allotted four graduation tickets in homeroom which will not be honored after 8 p.m. that night.

The program for the graduation begins with a fanfare which was composed for Maine Township High School West's graduations. The graduates of 1969 will then file in while Mr. Robert D. Kuite conducts the Concert Band in the "Coronation March" and the "Grand March." After the processional there will be the presentation of colors by the Color Guard and the National Anthem will then be sung.

Next, the invocation will be given by Dr. James E. Spicer of the First Congregational Church of Des Plaines. Mr. Herman L. Rider, principal of Maine West, will introduce Richard Lucente, president of the Senior Class, who will give welcome address and introduce the class salutatorian and valedictorian, who will also speak.

Following this, Dr. Richard R. Short, superintendent of District No. 207, will present the class; and Mr. John L. Means, president of the Board of Education, will accept the class.
