Talent Assembly Highlights
Week of Fun for Seniors

Senior Week has come and gone, and the seniors will soon have done the same. Monday, May 26, of Senior Week was Bermuda Day, and cut offs were visible everywhere.

Tuesday was Hat Day, and some of the headgear was really unusual.

On Clash Day, Wednesday, students again made the most of the situation; and many of them wore clothes which allowed a measure of comfort on that rather warm day.

Thursday morning was the Senior Breakfast, and seniors were not required to be at Maine until third period. When they arrived, they "participated" in the Senior Talent Show which was held in the auditorium.

Starting off the show was Jeanie Lane and her guitar. Although there was monetary confusion as she stopped to turn the microphone on, everyone was in a good mood and applauded enthusiastically.

The next act was a 28‑man pyramid which went over big with the audience. The seniors became almost rowdy as they cheered the men on. Success finally came after the third attempt, and the pyramid broke out into the Bear's fight song.

The crowd became extremely boisterous and practically drowned out two brief skits. One was a satire on the school administration, and the other ended up with three girls exchanging cream pies. There was only a brief letup when Carolyn Hummel, Marty Courtois, and Bill Johnson added their talents to the musical portion of the show.

After Senior Class president Rick Lucente dedicated a hall pass to any anonymous faculty member, he introduced the Ted Wagner Quintet which closed the show.
