"It was a unique experience," said Jeannette Platt '69 after her first appearance on T.V.
Jeannette's T.V. debut came on Friday, October 11, on the premiere program of "World Spotlite." It was viewed on Channel 11 at 9:45 a.m. The purpose of the program is to discuss timely issues of the day.
Maine West, Maine South, Waukegan, and Naperville participated in the discussion. Craig Dudzak '69 will represent Maine West at a later date in December. Jeannette and Craig flipped a coin as to who would appear on the first program.

These two students were chosen from the American history A.P. and American history accelerated courses, upon the recommendation of Mrs. Mary Jane Kolar and Mr. James Jennings, respectively.
The topic for discussion was "Presidents and the Role of American Foreign Policy." The guest speaker was Bradley Patterson, the head advisor of the President's Advisory Board of Economic Opportunity, who has worked under the past three Presidents.
Such things as the C.I.A., ambassadorships, the U.N., and the role of the people in foreign policy were discussed.
