Stage West To Feature Showboat, Nightclub Acts

Honeymooners, munchkins, and blues will all be a part of this year's Variety Show, Stage West '68.

The V‑Show will be held Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, November 14, 15, and 16. Cost of the tickets is $1.25 and $1.75; and they are on sale at Maria Schaefer's Music Store and in the school bookstore.

There will be two acts this year, the first of which will be a showboat. In the second act the Show Band will be on stage in a nightclub type atmosphere. Within these two acts will be 35 other acts.

This year's acts are "Here Comes the Showboat," "The Spirit of '68," "Bittersweet Honey," "Dilemma," "Old Man River," "Dandelion Wine," "Rhythm and Razz," "Match Walk On," "Magic Number and Val," "Coloring Book," "Frontier Mortician," "Go Bailey," "Implications Plus," "Trouble Scene," "Thoroughly Maine West," "One of Those Songs," "Chuckle-In,"

"Leather Soul," and "Perpetual Interruptions." Also included are "Ha-Ha," "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Lounge," "Merry Munchkins," "Vogue on Stage and the Axis," "The Second Day of the Honeymoon," "Eric Turner's Blues Band," "The Ted Wagner Quintet," "Fifty-four Heads," "Windy," "The Story of Prinderella," "Sola Malequena," "Moonlight Sonata," "Warsaw Concerto," ''Classical Gas,'' ''Impossible Dream," "A Taste of Honey," and the finale, "What a Way To Go."

Included in these acts will be two numbers by the Choraliers, two dance chorus numbers, and a skit by the teachers.

The sponsors are Mr. Mark Mattson, Mr. G. Douglas Blatt, Mr. Gerald Hug, Mr. Eugene Patrizi, Mr. Robert Kuite, Mr. Garth Boyer, Miss Marcia Storey, Mr. Rollin Porter, Mr. Robert Soltysik, and Mr. Robert Pelikan, who with the staff, have been working on the show since the beginning of the school year. Rehearsals started in early October.
