On Saturday, November 16, the Aviation Club members tried their wings at Pal‑Waukee Airport. The flying was sponsored by Mr. George Priester, who encouraged the high school students to participate in the flight lessons.
Ten Maine West students were given a chance to fly while 36 students took a tour of the tower. In each plane there were three students and an instructor.
Among the incidents that happened that Saturday at the flight lesson was bad weather which prevented 36 students from flying. So instead they received a tour of the Pal‑Waukee Airport grounds.
Last Wednesday, November 20, the Aviation Club held another meeting and saw a filmstrip entitled, "Pre‑flighting." The meeting was open to all Aviation members. To date there is an executive committee that is working on a constitution for this club.

While interviewing Mr. Randall Rayborn, counselor, he stated, "We hope that the Aviation Club will initiate a development of a full credit course in aviation at Maine West."
The activities of the club are being published in "Plane Talk." This is in the Chicago Tribune and tells of interesting news to fliers.
The sponsors, Mr. John Amason, Mr. Bruce Campbell, and Mr. Randall Rayborn, are pleased at the turnout that was proven by the attendance at the meetings and lesson Saturday. They hope the members will continue to benefit from the lessons they receive on the ground level as well as in the air.
