The Senior Class recently voted on the six senior students whom they felt were most qualified to be considered for the Sons of the American Revolution and Daughters of the American Revolution citizenship awards.

Those nominees were Barbara Bednarz, Janie Leis, Linda Wesolowski, Tom Barrett, Randy Hann, and Hans Wahl. They were nominated on the basis of dependability, leadership, service, and patriotism.

The finalists will be selected by the faculty on the basis of the above mentioned criteria. The boy and the girl who win the coveted SAR and DAR awards respectively will be announced around Christmas.

Last year the Maine West winners were Greg Essig, Senior Class president, and Linda Wells, Student Council secretary.
