A total of 123 seniors have been named semifinalists in the quest for Illinois State scholarships and financial aid.

This list of students who qualify for financial aid or honorary awards was compiled on the basis of ACT test composite scores and class rank. After ACT board officials thoroughly examine and evaluate the individual statements expressing need for financial aid to be submitted by all semifinalists desiring assistance, the list of finalists will be released.

The semifinalists are Bill Adair, Jill Anderson, Nancy Atkinson, Bob Aulert, Paul Bartholomae, Barb Bednarz, Jan Behnke, Roy Berquist, Bar­bara Billings, Jim Birchfield, Sandy Bishop, Ann Blonston, Louis Bobbitt, and Gail Braun.

Others are Karen Brenner, Sandra Brogmus, Richard Brown, Rich Buchanan, Greg Caravelli, Dave Carlson, Penny Chase, Diane Clarke, Marilyn Coombs, Donna DeFranco, Sue Dixon, John Doyle, Dale Dreischarf, Craig Dudczak, Donna Ellwanger, Sue Evans, Linda Felke, Laura Frey, and Darlene Fricano.

Still others are Kurt Fritscher, Larry Galowitsch, Eileen Goelz, Jean Gradl, Arlene Hegg, Kathy Hill, Jo Hynes, John Jacobs, Nancy Johnsen, Darlene Kamradt, Monica Keane, Janice Keith, Kathy Kinney, Terry Klein, Kurt Krebs, Alan Krol, Don Kron, Don Kruse, Linda Lambert, Sandy Lauffenburger, Janie Leis, Nancy Lilja, Ted Loska, John Lovering, Anita Luckey, Bob Lumpp, Chris Lund, Bill Markworth, Helmuth Massat, and Jim McCann.

Moore, Janet Moranz, Debra Moyer, Sue Muncy, Tom Napier, Keith Nelson, Bobbi Niemz, Nancy Novotny, Lise Pahnke, Bill Palarz, Laurel Paul, Lawrence Petkus, Penny Pinzke, Jeannette Platt, Todd Ramcke, Greg Reinhart, Wendy Richter, and Carol Rohde.

Lu Ann Rohrbach, Ray Rosner, George Rudawsky, Pauline Ruge, John Schaefer, Connie Schlesser, Bruce Skamser, Bill Skibbe, Jim Schenser, Dean Spindler, Terry Stoner, Ron Strand, Clay Strom, Cliff Strom, Marty Swanson, and Ray Tancredi also qualify as semifinalists.

Completing the list of semifinalists are Jan Thain, Tom Tyler, Terry Tyrpin, Al Utes, Pat Vermerris, Bruce Vosburgh, Joanie Walter, Jim Webster, Darrell Williams, Ron Wills, Rich Wilson, Dave Winri, Kathie Wolf, Randall Yokes, and Paul Zeissler.

Semifinalists who place in the finalist division will obtain financial support enabling them to continue through four years in an Illinois university or junior college. Financial aid covers all mandatory fees and tuition.
