"If you don't want to laugh, don't come" is Mr. Garth Boyer's advice to anyone interested in this year's Senior Class play. "Out of the Frying Pan" will be presented January 17 and 18 in the Maine West auditorium.
Tryouts took place the last week in November, and rehearsals are now under way. The senior students participating in the play are Bill Johnson as "George," Carolyn Hummel as "Kate," Jim Hoekstra as "Tony," with "Norman" portrayed by Bob Aulert, and "Dottie" by Donna Ellwanger.
Other characters in the play are "Marge" played by Janie Leis, "Arthur" by Paul Zeissler, and "Mr. Coburn" by Chris Huestis.

The double cast parts are Marilyn Kalata and Mary Ann Gianpetro playing "Mrs. Garnet," with Alice Mott and Maureen O'Brien as "Muriel," and John Chips and Ted Wagner as "Mot." Also "Joe" will he played by Hans Wahl and Cliff Strom.
Many colleges and committees have also scheduled this play about three young men and women, would‑be performers who share an apartment directly above a Broadway producer who is about to cast a road company. Plots and plans develop as the six practice the play to perform before him.
"The play is funny and entertaining, and people like to be entertained," finished the drama director. Tickets are $1.25 for any seat in the house, no reserve.
